This family business is run by the third generation of vinegrowers in Rioja Alavesa. 45% of their vines were planted by the grandfather some 60 to 80 years ago. With the new winery and technology, they produce a range of highly rated single-regional wines named Juan de Alzate, showing a good combination of modern and traditional style. Loli Casado also produces a modern styled range of wines named Polus, expressing 100% grape varietal characteristics from old vines.​​​​​​​
